Cutting a dovetail by hand requires patience, skill and accuracy. Of course dovetails can be cut my machine and there are many applications where using a power tool is preferable. But for the work that I'm doing lately, a hand-cut dovetail makes for a beautiful and unique joint. So, in late July of 2012, I committed to cutting one dovetail per day for a year. Here I will post my progress as well as a video as I finish out each month. Wish me luck!
